Half-Circle Front Door Step Transformation

Small changes can make a big difference to the front of a house. This customer had a very standard raised step up to their front door, and we transformed it into a striking half-circle paved step that gives the entrance real kerb appeal.

What we did

  • Replaced the plain raised step with a new half-circle step
  • Used half of a Cathedral paving circle kit in Barley to create the curved shape
  • Finished the joints with Titan buff resin grout to complement the warm Barley tones

Why a half-circle step?

  • Makes an entrance. The curved shape draws the eye to the front door.
  • Wider and easier to use. A semi-circular step gives more room to stand at the door than a narrow step.
  • A clever use of a circle kit. Using half a paving circle gives a neat, professional curve with properly shaped stones.
