This customer in Stone had an old concrete patio, which they took up themselves before we started. We then laid 20m² of Galaxy Sand porcelain paving in its place.
What we did
- Prepared a solid sub-base where the old concrete patio had been
- Laid 20m² of Galaxy Sand porcelain paving from Paving Stones Direct, on a full bed of mortar
- Fitted an ACO channel drain to carry surface water away
- Finished the joints with Titan resin grout for a neat, hard-wearing finish
Why porcelain?
Porcelain paving is hard-wearing, resists stains and doesn’t fade, so it stays looking new with very little upkeep. Galaxy Sand is a warm, light tone that brightens up the garden.
Before and after
What’s next
We’ll be back in spring 2027 for the next stage of this garden: laying 100m² of new turf and 3 tonnes of slate chippings. Watch this space for the finished garden.
