Terms & Conditions

  1. Our team & working days
Your project will be carried out by our small, dedicated crew, usually on site Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (this can vary slightly depending on the type of work). We may take Friday afternoon off, as this is normally an admin day.
  2. Weather
Landscaping work is weather dependent. All planned dates and durations are given weather permitting. Where weather prevents safe or effective working (heavy rain, frost, high winds, etc.), we’ll pause work and resume as soon as conditions allow, keeping you informed of any impact on the schedule.
  3. Payment schedule
Payment is split into four equal instalments of 25% of the total quoted price:

    • 25% Deposit — Due within 5 working days of the job starting
    • 25% Stage payment 1 — Due at the first stage point (roughly one third into the estimated completion period)
    • 25% Stage payment 2 — Due at the second stage point (roughly two thirds into the estimated completion period)
    • 25% Final payment — Due on completion

We accept payment by bank transfer or cash. One invoice will be sent at the end of the job covering all stages.

  4. Additional work
It’s common for customers to want to add things once they can see the transformation taking shape — that’s completely normal, and we’re happy to accommodate where we can. However, please note:
    • Any work outside the original quote must be agreed with us (verbally in the first instance, confirmed by text) before we carry it out.
    • All additional work will be charged separately and added to your final invoice.
  5. Design details & specifications
If you’re ever unsure how a particular feature will look, or unclear on finer details such as size, height, or texture, please just ask — we’re always happy to talk this through and provide specifics. Raising questions as we go means everyone’s clear on what to expect, and helps avoid any confusion or disputes once the job is complete.
  6. Site access & preparation
As discussed and confirmed at your site visit, please ensure agreed access arrangements (driveway/materials access, skip placement, etc.) are in place ahead of the start date.
  7. While we’re on site
We work self-sufficiently and shouldn’t need access inside your property during the job. A cup of tea, coffee, or a cold drink is always very welcome though — and we won’t say no to the odd sugary treat! No obligation at all, just a nice touch if you’re passing. We also like to take a 5-minute break every now and again, so feel free to come out for a chat or to discuss the work.
  8. Cancellation & postponement
If you cancel after paying your deposit, the deposit is non-refundable by default.
  9. Insurance & liability
Dig-in Landscaping holds public liability insurance with AXA Insurance UK plc, with a limit of indemnity of £1,000,000 per event. Policy number 550.316.572.
  10. Guarantee
We don’t offer a formal guarantee period, but if anything comes up after completion, we’re always happy to come back and take a look. Where the issue isn’t down to our work, this would be subject to an additional charge.
  11. Acknowledgement
