Our covered seating area with built-in BBQ
One of our favourite builds is a 6m-long covered seating area with a built-in barbecue:
- the structure is made from recycled timber decking
- the roof is tinted polycarbonate panels, so it stays light but keeps the rain off
- a custom “picture window” is a clear acrylic sheet with a photograph printed directly onto it
- a colour-changing LED strip light, controlled by remote, finishes it off

Garden structure FAQs
Do I need planning permission for a garden building?
In England, many garden buildings are “permitted development” if they’re single storey, not in front of the house, and no more than 2.5m high when within 2 metres of a boundary. Rules differ for garden offices you’ll sleep in, listed buildings and conservation areas, so check with your council if you’re unsure.
Can you build to my own measurements?
Yes. Our structures are made to measure, so we can fit awkward corners and specific spaces.
