We offer a full garden design and landscaping service in Stone and across Staffordshire, for outdoor spaces that are relaxing, practical and suited to your home, whether you want a clean, modern look or something more traditional. Whether you have a few ideas you’d like to talk through or want a complete garden design, we’d be pleased to help.
Dig-in Landscaping was founded by Pete Caine, who has worked as a designer since the early 1990s. That design background shapes every garden we build: clean lines, good materials and details that make a space feel finished.
How our design process works
- Consultation. We find out what you need, the style you like and how you want to use the space.
- Estimate. We give you an estimate and a timescale for the work.
- Design visuals. If it’s helpful, we produce visuals of the proposed design so you can see it before any work starts, and we refine them with your feedback.
- Agreement. Once you’re happy with the design, we confirm a fixed price and book you in.

Designing for real gardens
Many gardens have a challenge to solve, and good design turns it into a feature:
- Steep slopes can become terraces. We turned one very steep garden in Stone into three usable tiers.
- Tired retaining walls can be replaced with something more striking, such as dark grey split-face granite.
- Family gardens can be both practical and good-looking, like our composite deck with a built-in play area, swings and sandpit.
- Low-maintenance gardens can use composite, porcelain, artificial grass and even artificial plants.
From design visuals to finished garden
See how a design comes to life in our two-level garden makeover in Stone, which shows the design visuals we created for the customer alongside the finished garden.

Do I need a garden design for a small project?
Not always. For a straightforward patio or deck we can usually go straight to a quote. Design visuals are most useful for bigger changes, or when you’d like to see a few options first.
Can you build a design I already have?
Yes. We’re happy to build to your own ideas or someone else’s design, and we can suggest practical tweaks along the way.
How much does a garden design cost?
Every garden is different. Get in touch and we’ll talk through what’s involved, or see typical costs for common jobs.
