For this garden in Stone, we put in a new fence made of 8 dark brown lap panels on concrete posts and concrete gravel boards, along with a new gate.
What we did
- Installed 8 dark brown lap fence panels
- Set concrete posts and concrete gravel boards, so no timber sits in contact with the ground
- Fitted a new gate
Why concrete posts and gravel boards?
Timber posts and the bottom of fence panels are usually the first things to rot, because they sit in wet soil. Concrete posts and gravel boards won’t rot, so the panels last longer, and a single panel can be swapped out if it’s ever damaged.
