This front garden in Stone needed a fresh start. We replaced the old lawn with new stadium turf and finished it with crisp stainless steel edging and a border of slate chippings, for a smart, low-fuss front garden.
What we did
- Removed the old turf
- Added 1 tonne of fresh topsoil to give the new lawn a good bed to root into
- Laid new, hard-wearing stadium turf
- Fitted stainless steel edging to give a clean, sharp line between the lawn and the border
- Finished the border with 1 tonne of slate chippings
Why steel edging?
Steel edging gives a crisp, almost invisible line between lawn and border. It stops the grass creeping into the chippings and the chippings spilling onto the lawn, so the garden stays neat with very little upkeep.
