This garden in Stone had two old patios on different levels, with the top patio sitting 900mm up behind an old terracotta brick retaining wall. We rebuilt the whole space with two new natural stone patios, sleeper planters, a curved path and new steps.
What we did
- Main patio: replaced the old patio with a new 45m² patio in Autumn Blend natural stone (four-size mix), surrounded by box sleeper planters
- Raised top patio: replaced the old elevated patio with a new 25m² Autumn Blend patio at the top of the garden
- Sleeper retaining wall: took out the old terracotta brick retaining wall and planter, and replaced it with a timber sleeper retaining wall and planter
- Curved path: created a curved natural stone path joining the two patios
- New steps: built three-tier steps up to the top patio
Designed before we dug
